This yellow adapter is a NEMA L1430P to a NEMA 1450R The NEMA L1430P is a 30 Amp, 125/250 Volt, 4prong locking male plug The NEMA 1450R is a 50 Amp, 125/250 Volt 4prong female connector The pins and terminals are nickelplated to prevent rusting This adapter has a maximum operating power of 7500 Watts and can also be used for EV charging Because the car will recognize the NEMA 1450 and try to charge at 40 amps default, I also put a label on my dogbone adapter to remind me to dial down the charge rate 5 The charging rate is slow as a TT30 socket is only 1 V, but some of the state parks we go to only have TT30 and no NEMA 1450 so it is a valuable adapter to have if you camp

Nema 14-30 to 14-50 adapter lowes- 3,346 Posts #3 Yes, you can use the dryer outlet The adapter looks fine if the EVSE you choose has 1450 A 30A outlet will limit you to a 24A EVSE (80% or the circuit's rate load) for safety There are some units with adjustable charge rates, may be safer than trying to pull 32A from a 30A circuit!A dryer pigtail, a 1450 external mount receptacle, boom, good to go The linked product from u/nod51 is nicer and not too much more, though The real ninja trick just hack off the center pin if your EVSE does not use the neutral line That is all the adapter is doing anyway, with their universal plug Safety disclaimers about overloading
